Testing for Oxidative Stress 

There is not, currently, a simple and proven way to test your body for oxidative stress and antioxidant capacity.  Conventional medical labs that bill insurance do not offer tests for antioxidant capacity because there is not a clear link between any nutrient in the body and any particular disease.  Alternative labs have no direct tests for many ways of testing for indirect markers of oxidative stress.  These include tests to check whether the fats in your body have been oxidized, and whether your body is excreting products that indicate inadequate antioxidants, and whether there is damage to your body’s DNA from oxidative stress.   These are routine parts of the ION Profile
